Glory School Conference

I'm off to a conference in Natick MA for 3 days!  I'm looking forward to seeing what new things God will be revealing. When we are open to His voice and His leading, that's when we see new things take place in our lives. When we remain closed-minded, things stay as they are. There are times we don't like what He is showing us, maybe because it seems like He is keeping us from something that we "want", but, know this...His direction for our life is always a better one. It's a good plan He has for each of us. If our life seems short of "good" things, perhaps it's time that we get alone with God and ask, "Lord, am I on the path (in the plan) that you have for me or is it my own?"  He will reveal to you which it is...He WANTS you on His path.

Be still and listen...you will hear His voice. When you ask something of God, be open to what He has to say. Quite often you will find that it is the opposite of what you think. After all, we generally go in the direction of what "we want to do" even if it ultimately is not the best for us...usually only for the moment. God has a plan that is best for us...for a lifetime.  So, be assured and be bold today to reach out for His Hand and go where it is He leads you and watch days of blessings unfold!

We Worship You

What is worship?  How do we worship? Is worship important? Is it different than praise? We see an example of worship in the OT when the priests went to the Tabernacle.  They entered through the gate with "thanksgiving".  When we are approaching God in our private time of devotion, we should come with a thankful heart. Thanking Him for all that He is. What are you most thankful for? Tell Him. Lift your voice and thank our Mighty God...the giver of all good things. For peace, joy and your very breath. For He is the Life-Giver!

Then, as the priest entered the courtyard...they entered with "praise". Praise His Mighty Name! Praise Him for who He is...sovereign, all-knowing, all-powerful, faithful, love, just, true, holy and covenant keeper. This was done before entering the "Holy of Holies" where the presence of God was. His glory (His presence) would come down and meet face to face. Wow! God tells us that He inhabits our praises!  He comes face to face with us. It is our praises that brings His glory before us! It is in that moment we should bring our most heart-felt petitions before Him...in His Presence.  His Presence causes you to be more aware of His desires for your life and those around you. You become more in tune with praying according to His will.

Thanksgiving and praise brings your heart into worship.  A reverence and awe of who your God is.  I hope you will make it part of your day...every day. I guarantee you will never be the same. It will move you forward into the plans God has for you. Good plans...one of a future and a hope.
